| Who we are |
HISTORY Ivorian Hope Charity is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization registered in the state of Maryland. Ivorian Hope was founded after a civil war occured in Cote D' Ivoire ( Ivory Coast, Africa) in 2003 by President, Christine Hall. Being an Ivorian residing in America with family members still in the Ivory Coast, she was compelled to start the organization to aid displaced war victims. Now that the war has subsided, Ivorian Hope has expanded its mission and stretched its hands locally and internationally. Ivorian Hope is currently managed by Christine's daughter and is propelled by this student movement started by college students. We are dedicated to aiding in the socio-economic development of Cote D'Ivoire and the Ivorian diaspora living in America. We do this by providing poverty relief to Ivorian rural villages through humanitarian assistance and donations of food, clothing, and vitamins. We provide economic relief to Ivorian rural villages through micro-credit programs and creating job opportunities. In addition, we strive to bridge the gap between Africa and America by providing educational opportunities such as scholarships to students interested in international issues and developing countries. We strive to show the interconnectedness of international issues by collaborating with other non-profit organizations locally and internationally. We thank you for visiting our site, hope that you learn about us, and join the cause. PRESIDENTS MESSAGEThank you for visiting Ivorian Hope and supporting our organization. We are so grateful that the war has now subsided in Cote D'Ivoire and that rebel forces have ceased raiding villages. As Cote D'Ivoire begins its transition towards recovery and reconstruction, Ivorian Hope plans to move accordingly to adapt to the changes of the country and the needs of the communities we serve. This year, we are focusing on strengthening relationships with local non-profit organizations and companies. We intend to increase the awareness of Ivorian issues and the effects it has on Americans as well as American issues that affect the global community. We will make Ivorian Hope a strong foundation of the local community as well as a a strong international force. We hope to implement the Hope Loans micro-credit program in rural villages and expand our scholarships to the college level and broaden our fund-raising base. With your support, all of this and more is possible. We look forward to hearing from you. Thank you, Christine Hall President and Executive Director Your gracious donations, purchases, partnerships, and support are greatly appreciated.
