Hope  Scholarship Competition

Ivorian Hope provides educational opportunities to students to encourage interest in developing countries and international issues.

The 2010 Hope Scholarship Competition will be open to all Maryland High School seniors planning to attend an accredited college/university. To apply, contestants should attach resumes and personal statements to this application with GPA, extracurricular activities, community involvement, and/or any work experience. Personal statements should be opinions regarding any important international issue in at least 250 words.  Postmark date is December 15, 2009. The prize for this pageant is a $1500 scholarship to further their education.

There will also be a college division available for current college students for the 2010 Hope Scholarship Competition. Students should fill out an application, attach a resume with current unofficial transcript, and write a personal statement of at least 250 words. The personal statement should address the following: how do your career goals incorporate making a change in Africa? This application will be available in August.
