The 2010 Hope Scholarship Competition will be open to all Maryland High School seniors planning to attend an accredited college/university. To apply, contestants should attach resumes and personal statements to this application with GPA, extracurricular activities, community involvement, and/or any work experience. Personal statements should be opinions regarding any important international issue in at least 250 words. Postmark date is December 15, 2009. The prize for this pageant is a $1500 scholarship to further their education. There will also be a college division available for current college students for the 2010 Hope Scholarship Competition. Students should fill out an application, attach a resume with current unofficial transcript, and write a personal statement of at least 250 words. The personal statement should address the following: how do your career goals incorporate making a change in Africa? This application will be available in August. |
